Whittier Girls Softball League

Whittier Girls Softball League

The Whittier Girls Softball League is an all-volunteer non-profit organization whose purpose is to perpetuate and organize a recreational program for young girls, which stresses self-responsibility, sportsmanship, team work and friendship.

Very Important
Incendiary devices and/or heat generating equipment for the strict purpose to cause heat or produce warmth by either electrical, mechanical, liquid or gas which includes propane, butane or any other type of gas and/or flammable liquid is STRICTLY PROHIBITED.

We understand that evening temperatures are such that may require such devices to produce heat, but effective immediately, anyone with such a device will be asked to turn it off and to have such device removed from the campus upon demand. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Per California State Law, the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the City of Whittier, East Whittier Middle School District and the Whittier Girls Softball League.

WE ARE ONLY ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE 6U (4.5 TO 6 YEARS OF AGE BY 12/31/2011) AND 8U (7 TO 8 YEARS OF AGE BY 12/31/2011) DIVISIONS. ALL OTHER DIVISIONS ARE CURRENTLY FULL.

General Board Meetings
THE NEXT GENERAL BOARD MEETING WILL BE HELD IN FEBRUARY (January 16th is a Holiday). WATCH THIS LOCATION FOR FURTHER INFORMATION.

General Board meetings are from 630--730pm, every third Monday unless otherwise noted above. See you there.

Snack Shack/Bathroom Duty
It is very important that teams fulfill their Snack Shack/Bathroom Duty with the required amount of parents. This is to ensure that ALL OF US PARENTS that get something to eat are waited on and are served in a timely manner.

Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

Safety

Due to the high frequency of parents and kids that walk to or around the Snack Shack area, pitching instruction or any type of softball practice (where balls are thrown and bats swung) is no longer allowed on the grass area between the mobile classes and the batting cages.
