Whittier Girls Softball League
The Whittier Girls Softball League is an all-volunteer non-profit organization whose purpose is to perpetuate and organize a recreational program for young girls, which stresses self-responsibility, sportsmanship, team work and friendship.
Very Important
Incendiary devices and/or heat generating equipment for the strict purpose to cause heat or produce warmth by either electrical, mechanical, liquid or gas which includes propane, butane or any other type of gas and/or flammable liquid is STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
We understand that evening temperatures are such that may require such devices to produce heat, but effective immediately, anyone with such a device will be asked to turn it off and to have such device removed from the campus upon demand. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Every year we elect a new Executive Board.
If you've been wondering about this or how to get involved, now is the time.
STEP 1: Download and fill out the Executive Board Nomination Form under "League Forms"
STEP 2: Drop it off in the Ballot Box at one of two locations
Location 1: WGSL Field 3
This Wednesday or Thursday from 5:30 to 7pm or Saturday from 9am to 12noon
Location 2: Parnell Park where General Board meetings are held.
Monday, May 14th, between 630 and 7pm.
STEP 3: Tell your friends about it because…
On Monday, May 21st at the WGSL General Board Meeting, you and all of us will vote for the 2012-2013 Executive Board. More details to follow so check your email!

General Board Meetings
THE NEXT GENERAL BOARD MEETING IS SCHEDULED FOR MONDAY, MAY 21, AT 6:30PM AT PARNELL PARK.
General Board meetings are from 630--730pm, every third Monday unless otherwise noted above. See you there.

Snack Shack/Bathroom Duty
It is very important that teams fulfill their Snack Shack/Bathroom Duty with the required amount of parents. This is to ensure that ALL OF US PARENTS that get something to eat are waited on and are served in a timely manner.

Safety
Due to the high frequency of parents and kids that walk to or around the Snack Shack area, pitching instruction or any type of softball practice (where balls are thrown and bats swung) is no longer allowed on the grass area between the mobile classes and the batting cages.
Friday Night Practice Update
